About the author

Carole is a retired primary school headteacher with a passion for children’s literature and learning. In addition to her core role, she provided support to other schools and was recognised as a National Leader for Learning.

Carole was inspired to write the book as a tribute to the many amazing children, families, professional teams and volunteers she was privileged to work with during her career.

Residing in the North East of England with her husband David, Carole enjoys the lively atmosphere created by her family. “Lamb in a Pram” is a reflection of her belief in the power of storytelling to educate and inspire young readers, and also in helping to promote discussion around potentially sensitive subjects.

About the illustrator

Peter has been a keen illustrator from a young age. His inspiration to illustrate this book was to engage both young children and adults alike, bringing the story to life through expressive and humorous characters in a fun and vibrant setting.

He has worked within the graphic and web design industry for over 15 years and holds an MA in product design from Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne. In his spare time, Peter enjoys doodling, especially environments, characters and typography.
